X-Men Origins: Wolverine

4/10 (-3)

What a horrible and unimaginative movie. I feel so sorry for Hugh Jackman. To be involved in a movie that lacks any kind of obvious budget or inspiration is definitely not a good thing. This movie fails on so many levels. It’s success? Well, if I have to say something good about it, it is that Liev Schrieber did a much better job than I expected and was enjoyable to watch as Sabretooth.

The bad…well, just about everything else. The script was sub-par, the directing lacked any kind of vision, the acting was stilted by just about everyone, and worst of all – the special effects! They were arguably the worst I have seen in any movie in recent time (past 10 years or so). How hard is it to film people on location? Do you really have to use a green screen for every up close two person shot??? I mean you could tell they were in front of a green screen, the outline was atrocious, the lighting would have been better if they used none at all…it was all just so much wasted money and time. I hang my head in shame.

Do not watch this movie!
