Family Gathering

So, better late than never right?! Here’s the fun photos of the Shank family gathering this year! It was a blast.

I have to admit, this picture is probably my favorite!

Deyen was out and about for his first trick-or-treating experience! Last year he and Jenn stayed home and handed out candy to the neighbourhood kids. This year he went out in full giddy-up glory!

He was joined by one of his friends on this journey:

Together they had a blast and believe it or not, they were the ones who said that they’d had enough and called it a night (they’d only been out, like, maybe an hour…maybe). We then had some friends of ours stop by for a quick trick-or-treat visit,

…pretty scary eh?

Well, that was our Halloween. How was yours?

Vacation Time!

It has been a long summer I have to admit. But, Jenn, Levi, Deyen & I have been chilling out in Collingwood for the past few days and now we are at my folks place in London. It is a good time all in all.

Levi’s had a cold for the trip which severely sucks and Deyen in just picking it up now. Hopefully both boys will be on the mend in the next day or two.

Have a glance at some of these awesome pictures from our time in Collingwood, and stay tuned as I take pictures of us with my folks!

MiserWare

MiserWare

So, after catching this post on the Open Sourcerer about micromiser, I decided to leave my e-mail in the comments to see if I could get an invite into the beta. Well, it worked! I can’t participate in the referral program as I live in the good ol’ Canada eh?! But feel free to head over to the Open Sourcerer’s post about micromiser and leave a comment. I’ve noticed already at the height of the day anywhere from a 15-44% power savings on my laptop running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) and a 10-33% savings on my work box running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron). So, if you run Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat, Fedora or SuSe, then comment on the other guys site and cross your fingers!

Anarchy…chaos…DESTRUCTION!

From Randomness

My cubee’s post Deyen. At first, he enjoyed them and handled them with care. Moments later, they were simply fodder for his fists of fury.

Crazy little man!

So, I’ve noticed that there hasn’t been enough Deyen posts lately (we’re actually working on getting him his own blog, so stay tuned). Other than the three most recent, I haven’t published much about him lately. So, here’s a fun slideshow from our Picasa WebAlbum for ya’ll to enjoy:

Globophobia

Apparently, according to my sources, the fear of balloons is called “globophobia“. Well, I guarantee you, Deyen has no such fear!

And to follow that up:

Balloons, be afraid…be very afraid!

A little bit of Deyen for ya’ll

So, I haven’t published too much these days. Been busy with stuff. Deyen hasn’t been busy though. In fact he’s been having the time of his life these days. I’ve got some fun videos to share with ya’ll. The first one here (the others will come in a day or so, as I upload them) is him having some crazy fun on his grandparents back deck. Just before this video, he was backing up and making the beep beep sounds to go with it…it was priceless. This is still good, a bit crazier though. Enjoy!

The Peterborough-ian Big Shoe Dance!

Inspired by our friends video of their kid doing the Mexican Hat Dance, Deyen took it upon himself to amuse mommy and Auntie Heather by doing his own Canadian dance. Behold, I give thee the Peterborough-ian Big Shoe Dance!

The Ultimate Breakfast!

So, the other day we had pizza for supper, not unusual by any stretch of the imagination. Well, Deyen wasn’t exactly eating his breakfast that day and so, I decided to try an experiment…with PIZZA!

Well, he ate it! Half a slice anyway! What a boy! I love this kid!
